Highlights
- Oversaw the development and implementation of an online electronic document filing and public access web application. Providing an efficient means of filing Court documents and transparent public access allowing for the tracking of cases before the Court.
- Managed the development and maintenance of in-house applications for the processing of electronically filed documents through the Court’s internal processes and departments for the determination of document movement throughout the Court and their final disposition.
- Planned, created, launched, and manage the Court’s internal and external websites to include database implementation, and internal processes management.
- Successfully performed several platform migrations to include Novell Directory Services to Windows Active Directory, Novell GroupWise to Microsoft Outlook, and document management suites, Corel Office to Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
- Instituted centralized remote desktop and inventory management solutions for user assistance, training, and hardware and software inventory.
- Implemented an Axis network camera solution both locally and remotely statewide to provide online security monitoring of the Court’s locations.
- Designed a solution on the YouTube platform for the production, live streaming, and archiving of the monthly oral arguments and other special events.
Responsibilities
- Defined and developed the Court’s technological vision for high-profile employees in multiple locations statewide. Deliver hands-on approach to the management, development, and implementation of technology solutions.
- Perform personnel administrative functions (e.g. training, supervising, evaluating, providing professional development opportunities, etc.) for a three-member department. Direct personnel for the purpose of prioritizing project deadlines.
- Oversee all financial aspects of the Information Technology department. Research trends, products, equipment, for the purpose of recommending procedures and/or purchases. Establish timelines for the rollout and the proper disposal of Court provided mobile and desktop solutions. To also include daily use peripherals, software maintenance and agreements.
- Prepare written materials (e.g. procedures, reports, memos, letters, budget, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information. Develop and recommend policies, procedures and/or actions in providing direction for meeting the Courts mandate and internal goals.
- Implemented the Court’s case management application and work with the developers to strengthen and enhance the system to meet the Court’s needs. Work toward the integration of case management, electronic filing, and internal database systems.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the integrated Active Directory Court’s inventory system for the management and maintenance of inventory controls.
- Maintain, develop and provide direction for the functioning of the four websites: Internet, Intranet and efiling and internal document management.
- Oversee a helpdesk ticketing system to monitor, assign and follow up with staff on direction and resolution. Setting goals and timelines.
- Manage the on-boarding of Court staff and attorneys as fit to include the coordination, setup and assimilation of Judges and Staff being appointed to the Court.
- Provide mentoring to the Court’s two sub-agencies and work as a liaison with the Office of Court Administration.
- Responsible for the development and overseeing the broadcasting, recording and production of the Court’s live Oral Arguments and special events on the YouTube platform. Coordinate and setting up remote events and broadcasts throughout the state.
- Work with the Court’s Security department to install, configure and maintain the Axis camera security system throughout the state. Assist in configuring and maintaining the Court’s duress and security entry systems.
- Manage and integrate the Courts’ mobile platform strategy to include iPhones, iPads, Tablets, Surface Pros, and Laptops. Including Two factor security.
- Pivot to a remote-only solution via VPN, Teams, and Zoom system as necessary.
